Imaginative Play
Imaginative play is crucial for the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth and development of children aged 0-5 years.
It helps children develop problem-solving skills, social skills, and emotional management.
Bonding
Research shows that developmentally appropriate play with parents and peers is an opportunity to promote social-emotional, cognitive, language, and self-regulation skills that build executive function and a prosocial brain. Play also supports brain structure and functioning, facilitates synapse connection, and improves brain plasticity.
Motor Skills
Play is fundamental in motor skill development in kids 0-5. It builds motor competence to master fine and gross motor skills, and the confidence to engage in more active play. Movement and physical play from birth is important for the development of fine motor skills, as these build the foundations for everyday activities later in life.

What ages do you serve?
We are a toddler play place that serves children 0-5 years of age.
What are your operating hours?
We are open from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday. We are open 9 AM to 3 PM on Saturday. We’re closed on Sunday. Holiday hours may vary, so please call or check our website for specific information on those dates.
Do you serve food or drinks?
We do not serve food or drinks, nor do we allow children to have food or drinks in the play area. Milk for babies is allowed in a bottle or secured cup. Adults are allowed a beverage in a secured cup.
Can I drop my kid off here?
No, Little Roo’s Playplace is not a daycare, we provide a safe fun, imaginative play environment for children and their adults.
Are animals allowed?
In order to insure the safety of the children and cleanliness of the playplace we do not allow animals.
Can I have a birthday party here?
We are in the process of being able to facilitate parties, but as we are new to the community- we are not there yet.

Little Roo’s Playhouse Rules
Welcome to Little Roo’s Playhouse! We’re excited to provide a fun, safe, and enriching environment for children ages 0 to 5. To ensure a pleasant experience for everyone, we have a few guidelines to help us keep our space clean, friendly, and well-maintained.
**Playtime Attire & Safety**
– **Grippy Socks:** For safety, all children playing in our space must wear grippy socks (socks with rubber grips on the bottom). If you don’t have any, you can pick up a pair at our store for $2.
– **Comfortable Clothing:** We recommend gym clothes for play, as zippers and buttons can damage our soft play equipment. Let’s keep everyone comfortable and our space in great shape!
**Play Area Rules**
– **For Ages 0-5:** Our play equipment is specially designed for children under 5. Older kids are welcome to assist with pretend play, join in creative activities in our art room, or relax in our seating areas.
– **Gentle Play & Respect for Equipment:** Our space is all about purposeful, parent-led play! Please treat our equipment with care and keep roughhousing to a minimum.
– **Sensory-Friendly Hours:** During these times, please be mindful of children with Autism or Sensory Processing Disorders. We aim for a calm, welcoming environment, so we ask guests to avoid loud phone conversations or videos.
**Health & Cleanliness**
– **Socks Only:** For sanitary reasons, all guests (adults included!) are required to remove shoes and wear socks. Grippy socks are recommended and available at our front desk.
– **Health Considerations:** If your child has been unwell, please wait until they’ve been fever-free for at least 48 hours before visiting to help keep everyone healthy.
– **Potty Training-Friendly Space:** To maintain cleanliness, we ask that children wear appropriate clothing or accident-proof undergarments. Our restroom offers a changing table, wipes, and a stepping stool to support our little guests.
**Supervision & Safety**
– **Adult Supervision Required:** We ask that parents or guardians remain with their children at all times and actively participate in play. Our play space is not a drop-off center, so please stay close and enjoy the experience with your child.
– **No Strollers in Play Area:** To keep our space open and safe, please park strollers in our designated “stroller garage” or outside the front door.
**Food & Drinks**
– **Limited Food Policy:** To keep our play area clean, please avoid bringing food inside. Children may use spill-proof cups, and parents can enjoy coffee in the seating area. Let’s prevent spills and messes for everyone’s enjoyment!
